Swedana – Herbal Steam Therapy

Swedana is a herbal steam bath designed to open pores and flush toxins from the body. Using medicinal herbs in steam form, this therapy supports detox, circulation, and respiratory wellness.
Types of Swedana in Ayurveda
1. Nadi Sweda (Localized Steam Therapy):
Herbal steam is directed through a tube or pipe to specific body parts — ideal for localized pain, swelling, or stiffness.
2. Bashpa Sweda (Full Body Steam):
The person sits in a steam chamber where the whole body (except the head) is exposed to medicated herbal steam — best for detoxification and relaxation.

Benefits:

Relieve stiffness, heaviness, and pain in the body
Improve circulation and metabolism
Promote deep relaxation and lightness
Balance Vata and Kapha doshas

Who It’s For:

Ideal for those experiencing joint pain, sluggish lymph flow, colds, or undergoing Panchakarma.
