Our Story

Nature Care Ayurveda

Nature Care Ayurveda was founded by Dr. Naveen Shukla, a fourth-generation Ayurvedic practitioner born in the culturally rich land of Punjab, India. Deeply inspired by his family of healers, Dr. Shukla’s journey in Ayurveda began in early childhood—identifying herbs, preparing remedies, and studying ancient diagnostics like pulse reading and tongue analysis under the guidance of his grandfather and elder brother, Dr. Amit Shukla.

After completing his formal education in Ayurvedic Medicine and Surgery (BAMS) from Baba Farid University of Health Sciences, Dr. Shukla practiced in India before moving to Australia in 2008. With a vision to bring authentic Ayurveda to the global stage, he established Nature Care Ayurveda, offering personalized care rooted in India’s ancient healing system.

Today, we are a team of dedicated professionals, each bringing unique specialties and a shared commitment to holistic healing.

Why Ayurveda?

Ayurveda, meaning “the science of life,” is the world’s oldest holistic healing system—originating over 6,000 years ago in India. Rooted in the Vedas and aligned with nature’s rhythms, Ayurveda treats the root cause of imbalance, not just the symptoms.

It teaches that each person is made of five elements—earth, water, fire, air, and ether—and governed by three doshas: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. When these are in balance, the body thrives. When imbalanced, disease and discomfort arise.

Through personalized treatments involving herbs, diet, lifestyle changes, yoga, detox, and mindfulness practices, Ayurveda restores this inner harmony and empowers individuals to take charge of their well-being.

The Eight Branches of Ayurveda

Like yoga’s eight limbs, Ayurveda is a complete system of medicine that includes:

Kaaya Chikitsa – Internal Medicine
Graha Chikitsa (Bhoot Vidya) – Mental & Spiritual Health
Shalya Tantra – Surgery
Jara Chikitsa – Rejuvenation & Anti-aging
Baala Chikitsa – Pediatrics & Maternity
Urdhvaanga Chikitsa – ENT & Head Care
Damstra Chikitsa – Toxicology
Vajikarana Chikitsa – Reproductive Health & Vitality
